Danilo G. Santos
Biography
Danilo Gabriel Santos is an Ecuadorian director based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, he developed a passion for storytelling through classic American television and international cinema.
At 22, he moved to the United States, where he later earned a degree in Television and Film Production from Ball State University.
During his studies, he worked on award-winning student productions and interned at Sony Pictures Television in New York.
Santos directed the award-winning short film Taxy, which received multiple festival awards, 11 official selections, and advanced to the semifinal round of the Student Academy Awards.
He directed the feature film Anything Else Goes (Vale Todo), the MMA redemption story Fenix Shadows, and the Spanish-language thriller Mujer Perversa (Mad Woman).
He is currently developing new feature films and documentaries for international audiences.

Director's Statement
“As a filmmaker, I am drawn to complex female characters, particularly Latina women who exist in worlds traditionally dominated by men. My stories explore the contrast between vulnerability and strength, revealing characters who are often underestimated by those around them. Whether it's the mysterious socialite in Taxy or Victoria in Mujer Perversa, I'm interested in women who challenge stereotypes and navigate morally complicated situations while fighting for survival, love, and personal freedom. My films examine the hidden power people carry beneath the identities society assigns to them.”
